Eleven public transport posts are to be cut according to the community, culture and leisure minister.
In the February sitting of Tynwald, David Cretney confirmed he was in the early stages of negotiations with 32 staff members and the trade unions.
The cuts are part of a drive to save £900,000 from the department's budget in the coming financial year.
Mr Cretney said: "Initially 11 posts are to be cut and a further 11 more posts may have to go in the future."
He added: "We are looking at redeployment possibilities and natural wastage but redundancies are not out of the question, staff are currently being advised about the options open to them."
