Man hit by scooter seriously injured in Isle of Man

A 63-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a scooter in the Isle of Man, police have said.
The incident happened in Victoria Road, Castletown, near the Sidings pub, at about 1940 GMT on Friday.
The blue scooter was being ridden by a 48-year-old man. He is not thought to be injured.
Police closed the road for three-and-half hours for investigation work. They have also appealed to any witnesses to contact them.
