Repairs under way after gas leak

Emergency repairs are under way after a gas leak on a main road on the Isle of Man.

The work is being undertaken by Manx Gas and has resulted in temporary traffic lights on Buck Road, Douglas.

The area will be restricted to single lane traffic until the work is completed on Thursday.

Manx Gas engineering manager Robert Gardner said: "The traffic restrictions we have put in place are to enable workers safe access to the gas escape".
