Artist-run exhibition to open on Isle of Man
A new exhibition featuring the works of prominent Manx artists alongside students from the Isle of Man college will open in St John's later.
Illustrator Juan Moore, a lecturer at the college, said it was an "exciting opportunity" for both the established artists and students.
The three-month show at the Isle Gallery will include a variety of media including photography and sculpture.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 18:00 GMT on Wednesday.
Mr Moore said: "It is very exciting for our students to have an opportunity to take part in this exhibition. Hopefully it will prove inspiration for them to continue with their art."
About 12 degree and HND art students will be involved and for many, including digital artist Jade Doylan, it will be their first public show.
She said: "We are all very excited to get this opportunity and the whole class is looking forward to the show."
Many of the island's established artists, including Jeremy Paul who recently won the Frozen Planet category in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year competition, will also exhibit their work.
