Motorists warned over A3 Foxdale roadworks

Motorists are being warned of six months of delays on an Isle of Man road.

The A3 is being resurfaced in Foxdale and there will also be drainage work taking place between Brookfield Bank House and the Ballanass Road junction.

Work is due to begin on 6 February and is expected to take about 25 weeks.

A Department of Infrastructure spokesman has thanked motorists and pedestrians in advance for their patience and co-operation.

There will be 24-hour traffic lights in operation for most of the work but there will also be a complete closure for two weeks from 20 February - to allow for extensive drainage work.

A second closure will be announced at a later date.
