Isle of Man hospital fire 'no risk' to public

A small fire which broke out in the Isle of Man's main hospital did not pose any risk to the public, according to the island's fire service.

Emergency crews were called to Noble's hospital in Douglas at about 14:00 (BST) on 14 June.

The fire, which started in a machine used to clean medical equipment, was dealt with within an hour.

A fire service spokesman said hospital staff ensured no members of the public were at risk during the incident.
