Manx history app launched in Isle of Man schools
A new app has been launched in Isle of Man schools to encourage secondary pupils to learn about Manx history.
The free service is a joint project between language officers at Culture Vannin and former head of history at St Ninian's High School, Jo Ewan.
Culture Vannin said the the app works on mobile phones and desktop computers.
A department of education spokesman said it is hoped the project will "inspire people to think about the rich culture and heritage of the island".
The subject matter, which includes quizzes and videos, is aimed at people of all ages.
Funding for the app, which can be downloaded online, has been provided by the Gaelic Broadcasting Committee and the Gough Ritchie Trust.
