Jersey man acquitted of child sex abuse as a teenager

A 43-year-old man has been found not guilty of sexually abusing a teenager in Jersey in the 1980s.

Julian George Thorne had denied three counts of indecent assault and was acquitted by a jury.

The incidents were alleged to have taken place when Mr Thorne was 17 years old and the alleged victim was aged 13 and 14.

The jury at the Royal Court took just over three hours to acquit Mr Thorne of all three charges.
