Jersey motorbike victim inquest opened and adjourned

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a man in Jersey.

Thirty-year-old Rafal Malodzinski was killed earlier this month when his motorcycle was in collision with a car near Rozel in Trinity.

A 23-year-old motorbike pillion passenger was seriously injured in the crash. He is in a stable condition in intensive care at Southampton Hospital.

Jersey Police said the men were not wearing crash helmets.

The Viscount's Department confirmed Mr Malodzinski's inquest at Morier House in St Helier was opened and adjourned to allow funeral arrangement to be made.
