Met department forecasts snow in Channel Islands

Jersey's met department has issued an orange alert snow warning for the weekend.

Forecasters are predicting snow up to 2cm deep, especially on higher ground, and said temperatures are expected to fall dramatically.

They are also warning of ice on the roads overnight and advise motorists to take extra care.

The islands were hit by heavy snow two weeks ago closing schools, roads and the airports.
