Christmas stockings for Jersey special care unit babies
- Published
Christmas stockings have been delivered to the special care baby unit in Jersey.
The gifts are for premature babies spending their first Christmas in the island's General Hospital.
The unit said although it was "business as usual" on Christmas Day, every effort would be made to make it special for the babies and their families.
Salvation Army singers are to visit the unit, where a special menu has been devised for parents.
Neonatal nurse Sandra Hardie said the handmade stockings had been filled with gifts such as teddies and rattles.
There are currently six babies in the unit.
