University student from Jersey is found dead

A student who represented Jersey at tennis and rugby union has been found dead at his university accommodation.

Rory Topping, 20, was in his third year of a course in American Studies at the University of Manchester.

The former Victoria College student was known for his tennis skills and had represented the island in the Jeux des Iles in 2005.

A post-mortem examination is due later but police do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances.
