History scrapbooks have been handed out to every primary school pupil in Jersey to encourage their interest in the past.

The 7,000 scrapbooks, produced by the Jersey Heritage Trust, support a series of Discovery Days this year.

They include simple tasks at island heritage sites where children have to look for certain facts to record in their scrapbooks.

Children attending Discovery Days will receive a unique Discovery Day sticker.

At the end of the year, children will be asked to bring their full scrapbook back to school where they will be able to claim a special Discovery Day medal.
