St Helier road junction undergoes resurfacing work

A road junction in St Helier is being resurfaced for the first time in 17 years.

Work will start later on the junction of York Street, Union Street and the Parade.

Transport and Technical services said the work will cost less than £20,000.

The resurfacing will take place between 1900 and 2330 BST each evening for four days. Transport and Technical services said this was to minimise disruption for road users.

It said the road surface was in poor condition and some strengthening work will also be carried out where necessary.

During the work, the roads to this junction and Seale Street will be closed for all traffic but diversions will be signposted.
