Jersey training projects given £2.2m

More than £2m has been allocated in Jersey to sustain skills and training projects, a minister says.

Treasury and Resources Minister Philip Ozouf said that £2.2m would come from the Fiscal Stimulus Programme to fund training projects.

The money would keep such projects running until August 2012, he said.

He added: "We need to do everything possible to support all job seekers, especially young people entering the job market at a very difficult time".
