Lottery relaunch meeting for Channel Island retailers

New Channel Islands' lottery tickets are to be unveiled at a special meeting for retailers.

The lottery is being relaunched in September, with new terminals and new scratch card games.

A seminar is being held for retailers on 30 August, at the Town Hall in St Helier.

Money raised by the sale of tickets is given out every year to the Associations of Jersey and Guernsey Charities.

'Robust' tendering

Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean said: "We want to ensure that retailers are kept informed, and are aware of the new procedures before they are introduced next month.

"We hope that the relaunch will re-invigorate the Channel Islands' Lottery and will lead to more substantial support for local charities and good causes."

In June the States of Jersey announced Scientific Games International and Global Draw been appointed as the joint agents for the new lottery following a "robust" tendering process.

Retailers wishing to attend the meeting should contact the Economic Development Department.

Last year, the top prize in the Christmas Lottery was £750,000.
