Woman in Jersey's General Hospital after car crash

A woman has been taken to Jersey's General Hospital after being cut from a car on La Grande Route de St Jean.

The emergency services were called after the car hit a granite wall near Motor Mall at about 06:30 BST, leaving debris spread across the area.

The 39-year-old was the passenger in a green Renault Scenic, and is believed to have an ankle injury but the driver of the car was unhurt.

Fire crews had to remove the passenger door to get to the casualty.
