Guidelines on disabled staff recruitment and training offered

Businesses in Jersey are being given guidelines on recruitment and training of disabled people.

Jersey Employment Trust said it had published the guidelines for employers because there was no anti-discrimination law in the island.

The States has been working on an anti-discrimination law since 1999.

The guide, launched next week, has been endorsed by the island's Advisory and Conciliation Service, Community Relations Trust and the States.
