Jersey Heritage sites have received national accreditation from tourism body Visit England for their standards of customer care.

The trust, which runs historic sites including Mont Orgueil Castle, said it was an important accolade to receive.

Jersey Heritage director Jon Carter said the organisation was recognised for its high customer care standards.

Mr Carter said: "We are pleased, we are always trying to improve the quality of what we do for our visitors."

He added: "Each year we ask Visit England to take a look at our sites, they run a quality assurance scheme that runs nationally at tourist sites and so they really test us."
