Jersey man accused of assaulting children and firearms offences

A man has been charged with carrying a weapon and assaulting two children.

Antonio De Sousa Capontes, 42, from St Saviour, was charged with two counts of grave and criminal assault against children.

He was also charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a public place and having an imitation firearm with the intent of committing a criminal act.

Magistrate Bridget Shaw referred the case to the Royal Court and adjourned it until 16 July.
