Jersey NSPCC launches centre for vulnerable children

A new centre in Jersey run by the NSPCC hopes to improve services for vulnerable children.

Jacky Moon, of the NSPCC, said it would include an advocacy centre, arts room and community facilities.

The building at Stopford Road was opened by Lieutenant Governor General Sir John McColl on Tuesday.

Ms Moon said The Gower Centre would make a big difference to people in the island. It will focus on working to help children and young people.
