Jersey traffic delays expected for town street party
Motorists are being warned of further road closures across St Helier when the island's capital hosts a street party.
Broad Street, Charing Cross, York Street and The Parade will be closed to drivers from 08:00 BST on Saturday.
The party is part of the Fete de St Helier and organisers hope it will replicate the community spirit seen during the Olympic torch parade.
Vintinger Mitch Couriard says there will be traffic delays and parking restrictions.
Organisers said as it is a free event they could not say exactly how many people were expected but that it would be in the thousands.
The event is on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July. There will be stalls, children's rides and entertainment including two stages of live music.
