Jersey unemployment at lowest level since 2011

The number of people without a job on Jersey remains at its lowest since 2011, according to latest States figures.

By 30 November, 1,450 islanders were looking for work, down from a peak of more than 2,000 in 2013.

Some 390 jobseekers are "under employed", meaning they have jobs but work fewer than 35 hours a week.

The proportion of under employed jobseekers has risen from 21% to 27% over the past year.
