Forensic work continues at the scene and 243 "exhibits" have also been seized, said Jersey Police.

In a statement, the Rebelo family said Ana was a "loving mother" who would be "deeply missed".

"As a family, we continue to grieve her passing and try to deal with what has happened on a day to day basis.

"We are still working with the police to establish what happened and how she met her death."

St Thomas' Catholic Church in Jersey, where Mrs Rebelo worshipped, assisted her family in raising £6,000 to cover the expenses of repatriating her body to Portugal, where she was from.

A memorial service was held at the church on Tuesday.
