A bus returning from a wedding has plunged into a reservoir in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, killing at least 29 people, police say.
The accident took place near Nanjagud village outside Mysore, 145km (90 miles) south-west of Bangalore city.
Five passengers managed to swim ashore. The bus driver reportedly lost control when he swerved to avoid a pothole.
Twenty-five women and children were reportedly among the dead in Tuesday night's tragedy.
More than 100,000 people died every year in road accidents in India - the highest road death toll in the world.
Most of the accidents are blamed on reckless driving, old vehicles and bad roads.
