Own It app beta trial - get involved!

The feedback that we gather from everyone who uses the app during this trial period will help inform us about any potential changes or improvements we need to make ahead of the full release later this year.

We know how important it is for parents to be able to trust apps that they allow their children to download. You will no doubt have questions about the Own It app, so we’ve put together some detailed FAQs to explain all about how it works and what it does – you can find it here.

How do I register my interest?

Simply send an email to own-it.app@bbc.co.uk, telling us the age of your child and what type of phone they have. We have limited places on the beta trial, and these will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If you are allocated a place on the trial, you will be sent instructions on how to download the app. It’s really important for our testing period that you install it only on your child’s phone rather than your own – the app is designed for children so we want to find out how they use it and what they think about it!

You can send us feedback at any time via own-it.app@bbc.co.uk and we’ll also be in touch from time-to-time to ask you specific questions.

If you have any questions at all about the beta testing period, you can get in touch with us at the email address above.
