Easter makeup tutorial: chick

Remember to check with a parent or guardian about any allergies before using face paints and eyelash glue.

You will need:

  • Card
  • A head band
  • Decorative moss and eggs
  • Nest or wreath
  • Fake flowers
  • Craft glue
  • Brown felt
  • White, yellow, orange and black face paint or makeup

Step 1

Cut out a circle of brown felt and stick it underneath the nest with some glue. Always ask for an adult's help if you're using a hot glue gun!

Step 2

Cut out circle of card, paint the glue around the edge and stick the green moss down on top. Once that's dried, use the glue to stick the nest in the centre of the card.

Step 3

Glue the eggs into the nest first and then arrange the flowers around them, to make it look super pretty.

Step 4

Glue nest to the head band and leave it to one side to dry. Now it's time for the face paint.

Step 5

Blend the white makeup or face paint across your eye area and all the way up to your eyebrows!

Step 6

Then add yellow to the outer edges of your forehead, cheekbones, eyes and nose. You're basically turning the top half of your face yellow.

Step 7

Use your orange to draw a chick beak / triangle on your nose and add nostrils with black.

(If you want to, now is the time you can add eyeliner, mascara and false eyelashes.)

Step 8

Last but not least, add feathery white lines around your eyes and, if you want, you could add some lip colour.

You're going to look spectacular! Whether you're dressing up for Easter Sunday, or just looking for a fancy dress costume, this is perfect!
