BBC Brasil Proms Ticket Competition 2012

  1. The BBC Code of Conduct for competitions can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/competitionscode.
  2. The competition is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, aged 18 years or over except BBC employees and anyone connected with the competition.
  3. Entry to the competition is by emailing brasilproms@bbc.co.uk with the correct answer to a question posed online at www.bbcbrasil.com, along with your name and a contact telephone number. Only those entries with the correct answer will be eligible for the draw.
  4. The Competition opens 06th August 2012 and closes at 17:00 on 09th August 2012. No entries received outside of this period will be considered.
  5. If selected, the entrant will be contacted at the telephone number provided on 10th August 2012 to provide further details for fulfilment purposes. Contact will not be made via email.
  6. The BBC will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering this competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission. You can read more about the BBC Privacy Policy at www.bbc.co.uk/privacy/
  7. The winning entrant will be the first correct entry drawn at random after the closing time that responds to the request for further details in a reasonable time.
  8. The prize consists of a ticket to the BBC Proms on 15th August 2012. No travel or accommodation costs will be provided. For the avoidance of doubt, no other expenses will be paid.
  9. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative and it is not transferable.
  10. The BBC's decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
  11. Only one entry is allowed per entrant.
  12. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity.
  13. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) amend these terms and conditions and vary the competition rules including but not limited to the opening and closing times; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way; (iii) exclude ticket holders from the event if the BBC Proms / Royal Albert Hall terms and conditions are breached in any way - for full terms seewww.bbc.co.uk/promsandhttp://www.royalalberthall.comand; (iv) cancel the competition, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control..
  14. If the winner cannot be contacted the BBC reserves the right to either offer the prize to another randomly selected entrant who gave the correct answer, or to re-offer the prize in any future BBC competition
  15. The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem which may result in any entry being lost or not properly registered.
  16. The promoter of the competition is the British Broadcasting Corporation and the applicable law is the law of England and Wales.
  17. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering.
