John Bishop hobbled into Trafalgar Square on Friday to finish his third marathon in three days and complete his "Week of Hell" for Sport Relief.
The comedian was cheered to the finishing line by a crowd singing the Liverpool football club anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone."
Bishop had already cycled 185 miles from Paris to Calais, rowed 26 miles across the English Channel and ran two marathons, and after Friday's final leg he had raised £1,660,198 for charity.
"I'm absolutely blown away - that money is going to change lives," he said after being greeted by his wife Mel and his three sons.
"It's just unbelievable. It's absolutely staggering."
He added: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And on behalf of all those who will benefit from the money, thank you from the bottom of their hearts too."
Bishop has battled against injury and on Friday his right shin was causing him intense pain.
His brother Eddie, Radio 1's Greg James and footballer Robbie Savage helped him along the way and on reaching the finish the medical team immediately strapped him into an air cast boot.
On Thursday Bishop was joined by BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and comedian Frank Skinner to help keep him motivated.
On Friday afternoon, Bishop said: "I'm a physical mess, my body is in bits.
"When I stop, it's very hard to get going again. People have been beeping their horns, giving me money in my hand, it's extremely humbling and beyond anything I could ever imagine."
All the ups and downs from 'John Bishop's Week of Hell' will be captured for a BBC documentary, to be broadcast in the build up to the Sport Relief Weekend, which is taking place from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 March.
Bishop hopes to raise enough money not only to pay for a vaccine against five deadly diseases for 250,000 children in Africa, but also to help people living incredibly tough lives in the UK.
