Chelsea have been offered Atletico Madrid's Brazil international striker Diego Costa, 25, in a swap deal involving Belgium international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, 21, who is in his third season on loan with the Spanish club.

Roy Hodgson has been backed to continue as England manager for the next two years even if the national team fail to impress at the World Cup this summer.
