Guernsey's most successful archer, Steve Yates, will carry the island's flag at the opening ceremony of this year's Island Games in Jersey.

Yates last competed in 2011 when he won recurve team silver.

Guernsey's water carrier at the opening ceremony will be 17-year-old triathlete Max Thornton, who is making his debut.
