Cornish Sharks have added defensive tackle Barry Driver to their squad ahead of their second league game.
The Sharks, who opened their campaign with a 20-0 win at Gloucester Banshees, face Berkshire Renegades on Saturday.
Driver, 35, who started his career at Leicester Panthers, was in the Great Britain squad between 1991-2000.
"I absolutely love it down here. As I'm coming to the end of my playing career now, I'm coaching a bit as well," Driver told BBC Cornwall.
"It's great to be around new players with the enthusiasm that they bring."
Driver was twice a British American Football League Champions with the Birmingham Bulls in 1991 and 1995.
