The Sharks have home advantage in their next two matches

Cornish Sharks coach Brian Smallworth is confident that his side can claim an end of season play-off place.

Sharks face the South Wales Warriors this weekend, and then welcome the Gloucester Banshees to the Newquay sport centre on 31 July.

"We are looking for two wins in our next two home games," Smallworth told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We are getting some good crowds, a lot of people, which will hopefully take us to the next level," he added.

"The boys are up for this game after what happened when we went to Wales earlier in the season.

"We only went with 24 players and affter the first quarter we were down to 17. Our team morale is high and I have everyone available for selection.

"We are playing particularly well at the moment and gelling together as a team."

Sharks are currently third in Division 2 West of the BAFA Community League, following last weekend's dramatic 30-27 victory over Berkshire Renegades.
