Alan Cross has been elected president of the Commonwealth Games Association of Jersey.

Having been secretary since 2003, Cross replaces the out-going Martin Hebden as head of the organisation.

At the Association's annual general meeting, Hebden was given an engraved Jersey milk jug to thank him for his eight years in charge.

Hebden presided over sending Jersey's largest ever team to the Commonwealth Games in Delhi last October.
