Jersey's Zane Duquemin thrashed the Island Games shot putt record to win gold in the Isle of Wight.
He threw 17.15m at the Fairway Sports Centre to beat the previous record of 16.21m set by Aland's Ove Lehto 14 years ago.
Saaremaa's Genro Paas finished second on Monday with a throw of 15.35m.
Duquemin said: "That's my third best ever throw and it didn't really feel that great. To throw that far without nailing one is quite encouraging."
The gold medal adds to the bronze he won in the same event in 2009.
