Kenyan distance runner Martin Lel has confirmed he will compete in the Great North Run next month.
The 32-year-old, who won the race in 2007 and 2009, will be on the starting line for this year's event on Sunday, 18 September.
"I'm looking forward to returning to what is a great event," Lel said.
"Winning the Great North Run is never easy given the strength of the fields and therefore my two victories mean very much to me. Now I want another."
The race takes place on Sunday, 18 September.
