Really enjoyed the athletics! Still need to promote them more though, I read in the news that Alistair Brownlee set a new Triathlon course record in Dubai - outstanding athleticism! We have so much talent, yet get football rammed down our throats (I'm no fan I have to say).
Very talented athlete... Much deserved.

Oh Dumpthecar. I note you do spend a lot of time posting on these blogs trolling anyone who likes sports other than football. Here's an idea for you. Why don't you do something else if you don't like it. Trolling makes you neither original, funny or clever.
No doubt Holly showed nerves of steel on the jump off,but considering she jumped over 4.80 last year, outdoors, yes her achievement is fantastic and she beat the competition on the day, but she'll be disappointed with what height she failed to clear. Please note: I am not a troll. I am just giving an honest assessment of the situ.

@DUMPTHECAR What type of posts are those? Ones that criticise what you post?If all your posts are like the ones here, you'll get that. Maybe you should look at what you post rather than the response?
@23 Jeff - what major medals have you won above indoor European level? A gold medal at this level is above what 99.9% of athletes will ever achieve. It is a major medal despite what you say. But then I guess you are one of those that sees failure in most things below world dominance?
39. So why post it here then?
36. Truth hurts doesn't it old boy ;-)By the way, I cannot see that post on this blog so you have either picked it up from elsewhere (in which case it is irrelevant to here) or you have entirely fabricated it (in which case I'm not sure what point you are trying to make!).
Don't feed the trolls, people. Jealousy and ignorance hidden behind a veil of cynicism.
Well done Holly, hopefully this will give her the belief needed to deliver on higher stages in the future. And awesome performance from James - really impressive. One bugbear - whilst the BBC deserve credit for the quantity/quality of coverage, their website continues to obsess at headline level about Chambers, when they should be lauding Dasaolu's silver. Annoying and somewhat typical.
It's amazing that the party-poopers turn up in March to knock the GB athletes. Indoor championships are useful preparation for the summer.
My comments are based on the fact I place value in certain outdoor events, and I see athletes advertise themselves on TV and not delivering.I wish Bleasdale all the best, but Subway adverts are where I know here from just now. Let's see her produce the goods on the big stage
Great result from Holly... On the road to vaulting greatness.
Why do the BBC say Jenny Meadows reached the final of the 1500m?It should be the 800m of course.Well done to Holly and James - a fantastic performance by James.
