London Marathon winner Edna Kiplagat can secure a major event double in 2014 with victory in September's Great North Run half-marathon race on Tyneside.
Kiplagat, 34, would become only the fifth elite female to achieve the feat, after Liz McColgan, Joyce Chepchumba, Paula Radcliffe and Priscah Jeptoo.
Kenyan compatriot Mary Keitany, 32, who won the London Marathon in 2011 and 2012, is also named to race.
Uganda's Stephen Kiprotich has already been confirmed in the elite men field.
