Holywood man Paul Pollock has missed out on a place in the 3000m final at the European Indoor Championships despite setting a personal best time.
Pollock finished 10th in his heat in Prague in a time of 7:58:78 on Friday.
The 28-year-old was passed fit to run in the heats after receiving treatment on ankle injury which has been bothering him in recent weeks.
Pollock's main target for 2015 is the Berlin Marathon in September, along with the World Championships in August.
The medical doctor is aiming to represent Ireland in either the 5000m or 10000m in Beijing.
