Greg Rutherford wins historic World Championships gold

Britain's Greg Rutherford has won long jump gold at the World Championships in Beijing to claim all four major titles.

The 28-year-old's 8.41m leap sees him become only the fifth Briton to hold Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth titles simultaneously.

Only Sally Gunnell, Daley Thompson, Linford Christie and Jonathan Edwards have previously achieved the feat.

Rutherford's second-best jump of his career was 17cm better than second-placed Australian Fabrice Lapierre.
