End to End Walk 2015: Hundreds set for End to End walk

More than 250 walkers are set to contest the 2015 End to End walk in the Isle of Man later.

Competitors will attempt to walk the 40-mile (63km) route from the Point of Ayre in the north to the Sound in the south.

Last year, Richard Gerrard won the event in sunny and hot conditions to add the title to his Parish Walk crown.

Gerrard finished the race in just under six and half hours, seven minutes and 12 seconds ahead of David Mapp.

Michelle Turner set a new ladies' record to finish fourth overall.

More than 120 people completed the full distance.
