Carl Froch tells BBC East Midlands today that his son Rocco has given him extra drive ahead of his rematch with Mikkel Kessler.
The 35-year-old IBF world super-middleweight champion faces WBA title-holder Kessler in a unification bout at London's O2 Arena on 25 May.
"My little boy Rocco is the most important thing in my life now. Boxing is obviously what I do and is my passion, but I feel like I'm doing it for him rather than myself," he said.
The Nottingham boxer lost for the first time as a professional to Denmark's Kessler in 2010 and has predicted their second meeting will be an "epic contest".
