The Irishman taking UFC by storm

BBC Sport meets Ireland's Conor McGregor as he prepares for his Ultimate Fighting Championship world featherweight title fight against Chad Mendes in Las Vegas on Saturday.

A crowd of 10,000 - including a large Irish contingent - are expected to watch the bout at the MGM Grand hotel and the contest is expected to generate a gate of over $7m dollars which will be the largest in UFC's short history.

Mendes, 30, was a late replacement for Brazilian world champion Jose Aldo who pulled out of the contest two weeks ago because of injury.

In his relatively short UFC career, 26-year-old McGregor has stopped four of five opponents and has an unblemished 5-0 record.
