Haile Gebrselassie remains focused on London 2012 dream

Haile Gebrselassie admits that he is not the same athlete he was 10 years ago but he remains fixed on his dream of securing a medal at London 2012.

Breathing difficulties forced him the 38 year-old long-distance legend out of Sunday's Berlin Marathon on a day when Patrick Makau broke Gebrselassie's world record.

Gebrselassie recognises the "intense" challenge he faces in qualifying as one of the top three Ethiopian road runners for next year's Games, but dismisses any talk of retirement as he goes in search of a third Olympic gold.
