Paul Pollock is content with his 21st place in the men's marathon at the World Championship as he is the second European finisher in Moscow.
"I had a good race. I felt strong throughout and felt I was coming through the pack nicely towards the end. It bodes well for future marathons," added the 26-year-old who was competing at his first major summer championship for Ireland.
"It's a good start to my career as a full-time athlete."
