Edna Kiplagat wins women's crown

Kenya's Edna Kiplagat outsprints her compatriot Florence Kiplagat to win the elite women's race at the 2014 London Marathon.

Kiplagat, the two-time world marathon champion, burst through the tape in a time of 2:20:19, three seconds ahead of her namesake.

Ethiopia's Tirunesh Dibaba, who has been dominant on the track, came a respectable third on her marathon debut in London.
