GB coach pleased despite Greece loss

Team GB head coach Damian Jennings is pleased despite Great Britain's women suffering a 69-66 defeat against Greece in the final of a four-team event at Surrey Sports Park.

Jennings says it was a "fantastic tournament" for their EuroBasket preparation, with Team GB set to face strong opposition in the form of Serbia, Latvia and hosts France when the tournament begins on 15 June.

Late last year the team were told they would be receiving no funding from UK Sport in the run-up to the Rio Olympics, but they earned a reprieve in February and will share £7.5m with the men's team over the next three and a half years.
