Former world champion boxer turned trainer and promoter, Ricky Hatton talks frankly to BBC Radio 5 live's Nicky Campbell.
Hatton says he considered suicide after his retirement because he was suffering from depression and he found it hard to contemplate that his career in the ring was over.
The 32-year-old Mancunian explains that he is grateful to the News of the World for their sting because it was the wake-up call he needed to realise he had hit rock bottom.
After losing to Manny Pacquiao Hatton put his career on hold and said at the time he would never rule out a comeback, but he now says unequivocally that he will definitely not come out of retirement.
However, he jokes that the recent Carlos Tevez saga has made him feel like making a comeback.
You can hear more of that interview on Friday morning's 5 live Breakfast.
