Khan prepared for rival's home crowd

World champion Amir Khan believes his preparation will nullify any advantage that the home crowd could offer Lamont Peterson in Saturday's title defence at the Convention Center in Washington DC.

The IBF and WBA light-welterweight champion feels his experience of having defeated Paulie Malignaggi in New York will also work to his advantage as he takes the ring in the US capital.

Khan confirms that he sees the fight as a stepping stone to future "super fights" outlining his ambition to fight the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather.
