Mayweather-Pacquiao leaves Kell Brook fight open - Amir Khan

Amir Khan says he believes the proposed 'super-fight' between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will happen, meaning he will face an all-British bout with Kell Brook later in the year.

Former two-time world champion Khan says he was in negotiations to face both Mayweather and Pacquiao, but admits that "as a boxing fan" he cannot argue that a meeting between arguably the two best fighters of their generation is "a better fight".

That leaves the way open for Bolton-born Khan to face IBF welterweight champion Brook after the Sheffield boxer's mandatory title defence in March, with Khan saying it is the fight British boxing fans want to see.
